Mile-High Motion: Shailushai (Smurf Cat) Leading BBL with 14.2 Assists per Game
Denver Gooners’ floor general is dismantling opposing transition defenses with lightning-fast court vision.
DENVER — Operating at 5,280 feet altitude, the Denver Gooners have unlocked a high-octane transition offense directed by point guard Shailushai (Smurf Cat). Averaging an astonishing 14.2 assists per game, Smurf Cat currently leads the entire BBL in dimes.
Denver’s fast-break scoring leads the Western Conference at 26.4 fast-break points per game. Smurf Cat’s uncanny ability to deliver no-look transition passes while sprinting at full speed has made the Mile-High Focus Dome one of the league’s most feared arenas.
“He sees passing angles before the defense even finishes their retreat,” Denver assistant coach noted. “His unselfishness sets the tone for our entire roster.”
"We share the basketball and push tempo before their half-court defense is set. Great passing makes everybody dangerous."
