Today’s 2029-30 Preseason slate tips off at Lone Star Edge Pavilion (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / TNT) following Grimace’s 25-point eruption against Canton.
AUSTIN — The 2029-30 Preseason schedule rolls into a marquee showdown today as the Portland GigaChads travel to Lone Star Edge Pavilion to face the Texas Edgers (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / TNT). The head-to-head matchup pits Portland star GigaChad (25.4 PPG, 4.6 APG) against Austin cornerstone Duke Dennis (26.2 PPG, 8.1 RPG) in a battle with major conference implications.
Today’s slate follows an electric night of BBL action in which the Boston Grimaces defeated the Ohio Sigmas 118-114 behind Grimace’s 25 points, 15 rebounds, and 3 assists.
“Playing at Lone Star Edge Pavilion requires 48 minutes of defensive communication,” Ernest Khalimov told reporters at morning shootaround. “Duke Dennis can take over a game in a three-minute stretch, so our transition defense and rebounding have to be airtight from the opening tip.”
"We love defending our home court at Lone Star Edge Pavilion. GigaChad and Portland GigaChads bring elite firepower, and our locker room is ready for the challenge."
"Road games in this building always have a playoff atmosphere. We’re locked in on executing our gameplan for all four quarters."
