Today’s 2029 BBL Summer League slate tips off at Moda Chiseled Center (7:00 PM EST, BBL League Pass) following Shailushai (Smurf Cat)’s 29-point eruption against Brooklyn.
PORTLAND — The 2029 BBL Summer League schedule rolls into a marquee showdown today as the Miami Phantoms travel to Moda Chiseled Center to face the Portland GigaChads (7:00 PM EST, BBL League Pass). The head-to-head matchup pits Miami star Baby Gronk (21.2 PPG, 8.9 APG) against Portland cornerstone GigaChad (25.4 PPG, 12.8 RPG) in a battle with major conference implications.
Today’s slate follows an electric night of BBL action in which the Denver Smurf Cats defeated the Brooklyn Bomboclaats 120-100 behind Shailushai (Smurf Cat)’s 29 points, 5 rebounds, and 16 assists.
“Playing at Moda Chiseled Center requires 48 minutes of defensive communication,” Coach Livvy told reporters at morning shootaround. “GigaChad can take over a game in a three-minute stretch, so our transition defense and rebounding have to be airtight from the opening tip.”
"We love defending our home court at Moda Chiseled Center. Baby Gronk and Miami Phantoms bring elite firepower, and our locker room is ready for the challenge."
"Road games in this building always have a playoff atmosphere. We’re locked in on executing our gameplan for all four quarters."
