Film Room: How Fanum’s 27-Point Masterclass Unlocked New York Taxers’ 103-102 Victory Over Miami
Breaking down the half-court spacing, pick-and-roll reads, and fourth-quarter execution from New York Taxers’ win over Miami Phantoms.
NEW YORK — Reviewing the tape from New York Taxers’ 103-102 triumph over the Miami Phantoms reveals a clinic in modern offensive spacing. Operating out of high ball screens, Fanum recorded 27 points and 2 assists while utilizing his signature "The Feast Offensive Putback Jam" to punish every defensive coverage Miami deployed.
Whenever Miami Phantoms sent a second defender above the three-point line, Fanum calmly hit CaseOh (22 PTS, 13 REB) in the short roll to create immediate four-on-three advantages. Even with Baby Gronk answering for Miami with 19 points, New York Taxers’ shot quality in the final six minutes proved decisive.
Looking ahead to today’s 2029 BBL Summer League slate (2029-08-01), attention shifts to Brooklyn Bomboclaats visiting Denver Smurf Cats at The Smurf Summit Arena (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / TNT), where Matteo the Hand Gesture Sniper and Shailushai (Smurf Cat) headline the marquee matchup.
"Fanum read every tag defender on the floor tonight. Scoring 27 points with 2 assists against Miami Phantoms is textbook point-of-attack execution."
