TORONTO — The 2029 BBL Summer League schedule rolls into a marquee showdown today as the Brooklyn Bomboclaats travel to The Jawline Pavilion to face the Toronto Mewers (1:00 PM EST, BBL TV / ABC). The head-to-head matchup pits Brooklyn star Matteo the Hand Gesture Sniper (25.8 PPG, 7.9 APG) against Toronto cornerstone Handsome Squidward (24.8 PPG, 4.8 RPG) in a battle with major conference implications.
Today’s slate follows an electric night of BBL action in which the Miami Phantoms defeated the Texas Edgers 128-111 behind Livvy Dunne’s 26 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists.
“Playing at The Jawline Pavilion requires 48 minutes of defensive communication,” Coach Vincenzo Russo told reporters at morning shootaround. “Handsome Squidward can take over a game in a three-minute stretch, so our transition defense and rebounding have to be airtight from the opening tip.”
"We love defending our home court at The Jawline Pavilion. Matteo the Hand Gesture Sniper and Brooklyn Bomboclaats bring elite firepower, and our locker room is ready for the challenge."
"Road games in this building always have a playoff atmosphere. We’re locked in on executing our gameplan for all four quarters."
