PORTLAND — The 2029 BBL Summer League schedule rolls into a marquee showdown today as the Brooklyn Bomboclaats travel to Moda Chiseled Center to face the Portland GigaChads (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / NBA TV). The head-to-head matchup pits Brooklyn star Matteo the Hand Gesture Sniper (25.8 PPG, 7.9 APG) against Portland cornerstone GigaChad (25.4 PPG, 12.8 RPG) in a battle with major conference implications.
Today’s slate follows an electric night of BBL action in which the Silicon Valley Disrupters defeated the Miami Phantoms 124-104 behind Verity’s 36 points, 6 rebounds, and 12 assists.
“Playing at Moda Chiseled Center requires 48 minutes of defensive communication,” Coach Vincenzo Russo told reporters at morning shootaround. “GigaChad can take over a game in a three-minute stretch, so our transition defense and rebounding have to be airtight from the opening tip.”
"We love defending our home court at Moda Chiseled Center. Matteo the Hand Gesture Sniper and Brooklyn Bomboclaats bring elite firepower, and our locker room is ready for the challenge."
"Road games in this building always have a playoff atmosphere. We’re locked in on executing our gameplan for all four quarters."
