MIAMI — The 2029 BBL Summer League schedule rolls into a marquee showdown today as the Boston Grimaces travel to South Beach Void Arena to face the Miami Phantoms (1:00 PM EST, BBL TV / ABC). The head-to-head matchup pits Boston star Grimace (19.8 PPG, 2.1 APG) against Miami cornerstone Baby Gronk (21.2 PPG, 3.8 RPG) in a battle with major conference implications.
Today’s slate follows an electric night of BBL action in which the New York Taxers defeated the Texas Edgers 126-116 behind Fanum’s 27 points, 16 rebounds, and 5 assists.
“Playing at South Beach Void Arena requires 48 minutes of defensive communication,” Ronald McDonald-rot told reporters at morning shootaround. “Baby Gronk can take over a game in a three-minute stretch, so our transition defense and rebounding have to be airtight from the opening tip.”
"We love defending our home court at South Beach Void Arena. Grimace and Boston Grimaces bring elite firepower, and our locker room is ready for the challenge."
"Road games in this building always have a playoff atmosphere. We’re locked in on executing our gameplan for all four quarters."
