Film Room: How Hollywood Rizzler’s 34-Point Masterclass Unlocked Los Angeles Gyatts’ 125-104 Victory Over Denver
Breaking down the half-court spacing, pick-and-roll reads, and fourth-quarter execution from Los Angeles Gyatts’ win over Denver Smurf Cats.
LOS ANGELES — Reviewing the tape from Los Angeles Gyatts’ 125-104 triumph over the Denver Smurf Cats reveals a clinic in modern offensive spacing. Operating out of high ball screens, Hollywood Rizzler recorded 34 points and 9 assists while utilizing his signature "Showtime Chase-Down Jam" to punish every defensive coverage Denver deployed.
Whenever Denver Smurf Cats sent a second defender above the three-point line, Hollywood Rizzler calmly hit Rodeo Ray (24 PTS, 3 REB) in the short roll to create immediate four-on-three advantages. Even with Shailushai (Smurf Cat) answering for Denver with 27 points, Los Angeles Gyatts’ shot quality in the final six minutes proved decisive.
Looking ahead to today’s 2029 BBL World Finals slate (2029-06-14), attention shifts to Miami Phantoms visiting Ohio Sigmas at The Sigma Fortress (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / TNT), where Baby Gronk and The Ohio King headline the marquee matchup.
"Hollywood Rizzler read every tag defender on the floor tonight. Scoring 34 points with 9 assists against Denver Smurf Cats is textbook point-of-attack execution."
