LAS VEGAS — The 2028-29 Regular Season schedule rolls into a marquee showdown today as the Denver Smurf Cats travel to The Battle Bus Pavilion to face the Vegas V-Bucks (1:00 PM EST, BBL TV / TNT). The head-to-head matchup pits Denver star Shailushai (Smurf Cat) (23.4 PPG, 14.2 APG) against Las Vegas cornerstone Fortnite Jonesy (23.5 PPG, 6.8 RPG) in a battle with major conference implications.
Today’s slate follows an electric night of BBL action in which the Boston Grimaces defeated the New York Taxers 122-107 behind Grimace’s 31 points, 17 rebounds, and 0 assists.
“Playing at The Battle Bus Pavilion requires 48 minutes of defensive communication,” Grand Wizard Shailushai told reporters at morning shootaround. “Fortnite Jonesy can take over a game in a three-minute stretch, so our transition defense and rebounding have to be airtight from the opening tip.”
"We love defending our home court at The Battle Bus Pavilion. Shailushai (Smurf Cat) and Denver Smurf Cats bring elite firepower, and our locker room is ready for the challenge."
"Road games in this building always have a playoff atmosphere. We’re locked in on executing our gameplan for all four quarters."
