Today’s 2028-29 Regular Season slate tips off at Sunset Horizon Center (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / ESPN) following Handsome Squidward’s 29-point eruption against Seattle.
LOS ANGELES — The 2028-29 Regular Season schedule rolls into a marquee showdown today as the Denver Smurf Cats travel to Sunset Horizon Center to face the Los Angeles Gyatts (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / ESPN). The head-to-head matchup pits Denver star Shailushai (Smurf Cat) (23.4 PPG, 14.2 APG) against Los Angeles cornerstone Hollywood Rizzler (25.1 PPG, 7.9 RPG) in a battle with major conference implications.
Today’s slate follows an electric night of BBL action in which the Toronto Mewers defeated the Seattle Skibidis 114-110 behind Handsome Squidward’s 29 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists.
“Playing at Sunset Horizon Center requires 48 minutes of defensive communication,” Grand Wizard Shailushai told reporters at morning shootaround. “Hollywood Rizzler can take over a game in a three-minute stretch, so our transition defense and rebounding have to be airtight from the opening tip.”
"We love defending our home court at Sunset Horizon Center. Shailushai (Smurf Cat) and Denver Smurf Cats bring elite firepower, and our locker room is ready for the challenge."
"Road games in this building always have a playoff atmosphere. We’re locked in on executing our gameplan for all four quarters."
