CANTON — The 2028-29 Regular Season schedule rolls into a marquee showdown today as the Denver Smurf Cats travel to The Sigma Fortress to face the Ohio Sigmas (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / ESPN). The head-to-head matchup pits Denver star Shailushai (Smurf Cat) (23.4 PPG, 14.2 APG) against Canton cornerstone The Ohio King (24.1 PPG, 7.8 RPG) in a battle with major conference implications.
Today’s slate follows an electric night of BBL action in which the Silicon Valley Disrupters defeated the Toronto Mewers 124-114 behind Verity’s 39 points, 4 rebounds, and 13 assists.
“Playing at The Sigma Fortress requires 48 minutes of defensive communication,” Grand Wizard Shailushai told reporters at morning shootaround. “The Ohio King can take over a game in a three-minute stretch, so our transition defense and rebounding have to be airtight from the opening tip.”
"We love defending our home court at The Sigma Fortress. Shailushai (Smurf Cat) and Denver Smurf Cats bring elite firepower, and our locker room is ready for the challenge."
"Road games in this building always have a playoff atmosphere. We’re locked in on executing our gameplan for all four quarters."
