Film Room: How Patrick Bateman’s 30-Point Masterclass Unlocked Ohio Sigmas’ 128-123 Victory Over Denver
Breaking down the half-court spacing, pick-and-roll reads, and fourth-quarter execution from Ohio Sigmas’ win over Denver Smurf Cats.
CANTON — Reviewing the tape from Ohio Sigmas’ 128-123 triumph over the Denver Smurf Cats reveals a clinic in modern offensive spacing. Operating out of high ball screens, Patrick Bateman recorded 30 points and 2 assists while utilizing his signature "Business Card Turnaround Jumper" to punish every defensive coverage Denver deployed.
Whenever Denver Smurf Cats sent a second defender above the three-point line, Patrick Bateman calmly hit The Ohio King (28 PTS, 7 REB) in the short roll to create immediate four-on-three advantages. Even with Shailushai (Smurf Cat) answering for Denver with 25 points, Ohio Sigmas’ shot quality in the final six minutes proved decisive.
Looking ahead to today’s 2028-29 Regular Season slate (2029-02-22), attention shifts to Toronto Mewers visiting Portland GigaChads at Moda Chiseled Center (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / ESPN), where Handsome Squidward and GigaChad headline the marquee matchup.
"Patrick Bateman read every tag defender on the floor tonight. Scoring 30 points with 2 assists against Denver Smurf Cats is textbook point-of-attack execution."
