Front Office & Scouting Notebook: How Miami Phantoms and Ohio Sigmas Are Building Around Baby Gronk and The Ohio King
Inside the roster construction, lineup analytics, and future draft asset strategy shaping the 2028-29 Regular Season.
NEW YORK — As the Miami Phantoms prepare to face the Ohio Sigmas at The Sigma Fortress (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / NBA TV), BBL front-office executives point to both franchises as models of modern roster construction during the 2028-29 Regular Season.
In Miami, the combination of Baby Gronk (21.2 PPG, 46.5% FG) and Livvy Dunne has produced elite half-court efficiency, while Ohio Sigmas continue to build around The Ohio King (24.1 PPG, 7.8 RPG) while maintaining draft flexibility for upcoming selection classes.
“Every matchup between MIA and OHI serves as a measuring stick for both front offices,” a BBL scouting director observed. “The talent level on the floor tonight reflects years of smart drafting and player development.”
"Our front office and coaching staff have put together a special locker room in Canton. Now it’s on us to execute every night."
