Today’s 2028-29 Preseason slate tips off at The Purple Garden (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / TNT) following Baby Gronk’s 29-point eruption against Toronto.
BOSTON — The 2028-29 Preseason schedule rolls into a marquee showdown today as the Ohio Sigmas travel to The Purple Garden to face the Boston Grimaces (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / TNT). The head-to-head matchup pits Canton star The Ohio King (24.1 PPG, 6.4 APG) against Boston cornerstone Grimace (19.8 PPG, 16.1 RPG) in a battle with major conference implications.
Today’s slate follows an electric night of BBL action in which the Miami Phantoms defeated the Toronto Mewers 125-100 behind Baby Gronk’s 29 points, 4 rebounds, and 8 assists.
“Playing at The Purple Garden requires 48 minutes of defensive communication,” Patrick Bateman-rot told reporters at morning shootaround. “Grimace can take over a game in a three-minute stretch, so our transition defense and rebounding have to be airtight from the opening tip.”
"We love defending our home court at The Purple Garden. The Ohio King and Ohio Sigmas bring elite firepower, and our locker room is ready for the challenge."
"Road games in this building always have a playoff atmosphere. We’re locked in on executing our gameplan for all four quarters."
