AUSTIN — The 2028 Global Series schedule rolls into a marquee showdown today as the Bay Harbor Goobers travel to Lone Star Edge Pavilion to face the Texas Edgers (1:00 PM EST, BBL TV / ESPN). The head-to-head matchup pits Bay Harbor star Bomboclaat Pizzaiolo (24.6 PPG, 2.4 APG) against Austin cornerstone Duke Dennis (26.2 PPG, 8.1 RPG) in a battle with major conference implications.
Today’s slate follows an electric night of BBL action in which the New York Taxers defeated the Atlanta Rizzlers 118-109 behind Fanum’s 28 points, 16 rebounds, and 6 assists.
“Playing at Lone Star Edge Pavilion requires 48 minutes of defensive communication,” Don Peppino Goober told reporters at morning shootaround. “Duke Dennis can take over a game in a three-minute stretch, so our transition defense and rebounding have to be airtight from the opening tip.”
"We love defending our home court at Lone Star Edge Pavilion. Bomboclaat Pizzaiolo and Bay Harbor Goobers bring elite firepower, and our locker room is ready for the challenge."
"Road games in this building always have a playoff atmosphere. We’re locked in on executing our gameplan for all four quarters."
