BROOKLYN — The 2028 BBL Summer League schedule rolls into a marquee showdown today as the Silicon Valley Disrupters travel to Flatbush Trench Garden to face the Brooklyn Bomboclaats (1:00 PM EST, BBL TV / ABC). The head-to-head matchup pits San Jose star Verity (29.1 PPG, 12.8 APG) against Brooklyn cornerstone Matteo the Hand Gesture Sniper (25.8 PPG, 4.1 RPG) in a battle with major conference implications.
Today’s slate follows an electric night of BBL action in which the Boston Grimaces defeated the Atlanta Rizzlers 118-102 behind Grimace’s 26 points, 16 rebounds, and 2 assists.
“Playing at Flatbush Trench Garden requires 48 minutes of defensive communication,” Coach Arthur Sterling told reporters at morning shootaround. “Matteo the Hand Gesture Sniper can take over a game in a three-minute stretch, so our transition defense and rebounding have to be airtight from the opening tip.”
"We love defending our home court at Flatbush Trench Garden. Verity and Silicon Valley Disrupters bring elite firepower, and our locker room is ready for the challenge."
"Road games in this building always have a playoff atmosphere. We’re locked in on executing our gameplan for all four quarters."
