Film Room: How Fanum’s 25-Point Masterclass Unlocked New York Taxers’ 113-105 Victory Over Portland
Breaking down the half-court spacing, pick-and-roll reads, and fourth-quarter execution from New York Taxers’ win over Portland GigaChads.
NEW YORK — Reviewing the tape from New York Taxers’ 113-105 triumph over the Portland GigaChads reveals a clinic in modern offensive spacing. Operating out of high ball screens, Fanum recorded 25 points and 5 assists while utilizing his signature "The Feast Offensive Putback Jam" to punish every defensive coverage Portland deployed.
Whenever Portland GigaChads sent a second defender above the three-point line, Fanum calmly hit CaseOh (23 PTS, 12 REB) in the short roll to create immediate four-on-three advantages. Even with Iron Chad answering for Portland with 27 points, New York Taxers’ shot quality in the final six minutes proved decisive.
Looking ahead to today’s 2027-28 Regular Season slate (2028-01-03), attention shifts to Denver Smurf Cats visiting Boston Grimaces at The Purple Garden (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / NBA TV), where Shailushai (Smurf Cat) and Grimace headline the marquee matchup.
"Fanum read every tag defender on the floor tonight. Scoring 25 points with 5 assists against Portland GigaChads is textbook point-of-attack execution."
