Today’s 2027-28 Regular Season slate tips off at The Smurf Summit Arena (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / ESPN) following Grimace’s 21-point eruption against Los Angeles.
DENVER — The 2027-28 Regular Season schedule rolls into a marquee showdown today as the Toronto Mewers travel to The Smurf Summit Arena to face the Denver Smurf Cats (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / ESPN). The head-to-head matchup pits Toronto star Handsome Squidward (24.8 PPG, 4.2 APG) against Denver cornerstone Shailushai (Smurf Cat) (23.4 PPG, 3.6 RPG) in a battle with major conference implications.
Today’s slate follows an electric night of BBL action in which the Boston Grimaces defeated the Los Angeles Gyatts 101-98 behind Grimace’s 21 points, 18 rebounds, and 4 assists.
“Playing at The Smurf Summit Arena requires 48 minutes of defensive communication,” Dr. John Mew-rot told reporters at morning shootaround. “Shailushai (Smurf Cat) can take over a game in a three-minute stretch, so our transition defense and rebounding have to be airtight from the opening tip.”
"We love defending our home court at The Smurf Summit Arena. Handsome Squidward and Toronto Mewers bring elite firepower, and our locker room is ready for the challenge."
"Road games in this building always have a playoff atmosphere. We’re locked in on executing our gameplan for all four quarters."
