Film Room: How Grimace’s 29-Point Masterclass Unlocked Boston Grimaces’ 107-100 Victory Over Denver
Breaking down the half-court spacing, pick-and-roll reads, and fourth-quarter execution from Boston Grimaces’ win over Denver Smurf Cats.
BOSTON — Reviewing the tape from Boston Grimaces’ 107-100 triumph over the Denver Smurf Cats reveals a clinic in modern offensive spacing. Operating out of high ball screens, Grimace recorded 29 points and 1 assists while utilizing his signature "Purple Swat & Paint Lockdown" to punish every defensive coverage Denver deployed.
Whenever Denver Smurf Cats sent a second defender above the three-point line, Grimace calmly hit Hamburglar (19 PTS, 2 REB) in the short roll to create immediate four-on-three advantages. Even with Shailushai (Smurf Cat) answering for Denver with 21 points, Boston Grimaces’ shot quality in the final six minutes proved decisive.
Looking ahead to today’s 2027-28 Regular Season slate (2027-11-24), attention shifts to New York Taxers visiting Vegas V-Bucks at The Battle Bus Pavilion (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / TNT), where Fanum and Fortnite Jonesy headline the marquee matchup.
"Grimace read every tag defender on the floor tonight. Scoring 29 points with 1 assists against Denver Smurf Cats is textbook point-of-attack execution."
