BROOKLYN — The 2027 Global Series schedule rolls into a marquee showdown today as the Denver Smurf Cats travel to Flatbush Trench Garden to face the Brooklyn Bomboclaats (1:00 PM EST, BBL TV / NBA TV). The head-to-head matchup pits Denver star Shailushai (Smurf Cat) (23.4 PPG, 14.2 APG) against Brooklyn cornerstone Matteo the Hand Gesture Sniper (25.8 PPG, 4.1 RPG) in a battle with major conference implications.
Today’s slate follows an electric night of BBL action in which the Miami Phantoms defeated the New York Taxers 113-110 behind Baby Gronk’s 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 9 assists.
“Playing at Flatbush Trench Garden requires 48 minutes of defensive communication,” Grand Wizard Shailushai told reporters at morning shootaround. “Matteo the Hand Gesture Sniper can take over a game in a three-minute stretch, so our transition defense and rebounding have to be airtight from the opening tip.”
"We love defending our home court at Flatbush Trench Garden. Shailushai (Smurf Cat) and Denver Smurf Cats bring elite firepower, and our locker room is ready for the challenge."
"Road games in this building always have a playoff atmosphere. We’re locked in on executing our gameplan for all four quarters."
