Gameday Scouting Report: Handsome Squidward and Toronto Mewers Visit Duke Dennis’s Texas Edgers After Miami’s 117-104 Statement Win
Today’s 2027 Global Series slate tips off at Lone Star Edge Pavilion (1:00 PM EST, BBL League Pass) following Baby Gronk’s 24-point eruption against Bay Harbor.
AUSTIN — The 2027 Global Series schedule rolls into a marquee showdown today as the Toronto Mewers travel to Lone Star Edge Pavilion to face the Texas Edgers (1:00 PM EST, BBL League Pass). The head-to-head matchup pits Toronto star Handsome Squidward (24.8 PPG, 4.2 APG) against Austin cornerstone Duke Dennis (26.2 PPG, 8.1 RPG) in a battle with major conference implications.
Today’s slate follows an electric night of BBL action in which the Miami Phantoms defeated the Bay Harbor Goobers 117-104 behind Baby Gronk’s 24 points, 2 rebounds, and 9 assists.
“Playing at Lone Star Edge Pavilion requires 48 minutes of defensive communication,” Dr. John Mew-rot told reporters at morning shootaround. “Duke Dennis can take over a game in a three-minute stretch, so our transition defense and rebounding have to be airtight from the opening tip.”
"We love defending our home court at Lone Star Edge Pavilion. Handsome Squidward and Toronto Mewers bring elite firepower, and our locker room is ready for the challenge."
"Road games in this building always have a playoff atmosphere. We’re locked in on executing our gameplan for all four quarters."
