Film Room: How Fortnite Jonesy’s 27-Point Masterclass Unlocked Vegas V-Bucks’ 109-101 Victory Over New York
Breaking down the half-court spacing, pick-and-roll reads, and fourth-quarter execution from Vegas V-Bucks’ win over New York Taxers.
LAS VEGAS — Reviewing the tape from Vegas V-Bucks’ 109-101 triumph over the New York Taxers reveals a clinic in modern offensive spacing. Operating out of high ball screens, Fortnite Jonesy recorded 27 points and 5 assists while utilizing his signature "Tilted Towers 90-Degree Fadeaway" to punish every defensive coverage New York deployed.
Whenever New York Taxers sent a second defender above the three-point line, Fortnite Jonesy calmly hit Peely the Slasher (23 PTS, 5 REB) in the short roll to create immediate four-on-three advantages. Even with Fanum answering for New York with 25 points, Vegas V-Bucks’ shot quality in the final six minutes proved decisive.
Looking ahead to today’s 2027 BBL Summer League slate (2027-08-12), attention shifts to Ohio Sigmas visiting Toronto Mewers at The Jawline Pavilion (7:00 PM EST, BBL League Pass), where The Ohio King and Handsome Squidward headline the marquee matchup.
"Fortnite Jonesy read every tag defender on the floor tonight. Scoring 27 points with 5 assists against New York Taxers is textbook point-of-attack execution."
