Film Room: How Hollywood Rizzler’s 28-Point Masterclass Unlocked Los Angeles Gyatts’ 119-117 Victory Over Denver
Breaking down the half-court spacing, pick-and-roll reads, and fourth-quarter execution from Los Angeles Gyatts’ win over Denver Smurf Cats.
LOS ANGELES — Reviewing the tape from Los Angeles Gyatts’ 119-117 triumph over the Denver Smurf Cats reveals a clinic in modern offensive spacing. Operating out of high ball screens, Hollywood Rizzler recorded 28 points and 9 assists while utilizing his signature "Showtime Chase-Down Jam" to punish every defensive coverage Denver deployed.
Whenever Denver Smurf Cats sent a second defender above the three-point line, Hollywood Rizzler calmly hit Hollywood Hype (23 PTS, 2 REB) in the short roll to create immediate four-on-three advantages. Even with Shailushai (Smurf Cat) answering for Denver with 30 points, Los Angeles Gyatts’ shot quality in the final six minutes proved decisive.
Looking ahead to today’s 2027 BBL Summer League slate (2027-06-25), attention shifts to Golden State Sahurs visiting Seattle Skibidis at The Porcelain Coliseum (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / ABC), where Tung Tung Tung Sahur and Skibidi Prime headline the marquee matchup.
"Hollywood Rizzler read every tag defender on the floor tonight. Scoring 28 points with 9 assists against Denver Smurf Cats is textbook point-of-attack execution."
