Today’s 2027 BBL World Finals slate tips off at The Sigma Fortress (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / ESPN) following Grimace’s 30-point eruption against New York.
CANTON — The 2027 BBL World Finals schedule rolls into a marquee showdown today as the Toronto Mewers travel to The Sigma Fortress to face the Ohio Sigmas (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / ESPN). The head-to-head matchup pits Toronto star Handsome Squidward (24.8 PPG, 4.2 APG) against Canton cornerstone The Ohio King (24.1 PPG, 7.8 RPG) in a battle with major conference implications.
Today’s slate follows an electric night of BBL action in which the Boston Grimaces defeated the New York Taxers 116-109 behind Grimace’s 30 points, 17 rebounds, and 3 assists.
“Playing at The Sigma Fortress requires 48 minutes of defensive communication,” Dr. John Mew-rot told reporters at morning shootaround. “The Ohio King can take over a game in a three-minute stretch, so our transition defense and rebounding have to be airtight from the opening tip.”
"We love defending our home court at The Sigma Fortress. Handsome Squidward and Toronto Mewers bring elite firepower, and our locker room is ready for the challenge."
"Road games in this building always have a playoff atmosphere. We’re locked in on executing our gameplan for all four quarters."
