Film Room: How Baby Gronk’s 24-Point Masterclass Unlocked Miami Phantoms’ 119-104 Victory Over New York
Breaking down the half-court spacing, pick-and-roll reads, and fourth-quarter execution from Miami Phantoms’ win over New York Taxers.
MIAMI — Reviewing the tape from Miami Phantoms’ 119-104 triumph over the New York Taxers reveals a clinic in modern offensive spacing. Operating out of high ball screens, Baby Gronk recorded 24 points and 11 assists while utilizing his signature "D1 Rizzy Crossover & Stepback" to punish every defensive coverage New York deployed.
Whenever New York Taxers sent a second defender above the three-point line, Baby Gronk calmly hit Big Justice (24 PTS, 5 REB) in the short roll to create immediate four-on-three advantages. Even with Fanum answering for New York with 22 points, Miami Phantoms’ shot quality in the final six minutes proved decisive.
Looking ahead to today’s 2027 BBL World Finals slate (2027-06-09), attention shifts to Atlanta Rizzlers visiting Boston Grimaces at The Purple Garden (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / ESPN), where Kai Cenat and Grimace headline the marquee matchup.
"Baby Gronk read every tag defender on the floor tonight. Scoring 24 points with 11 assists against New York Taxers is textbook point-of-attack execution."
