TORONTO — The 2027 BBL Playoffs schedule rolls into a marquee showdown today as the New York Taxers travel to The Jawline Pavilion to face the Toronto Mewers (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / ESPN). The head-to-head matchup pits New York star Fanum (22.4 PPG, 3.8 APG) against Toronto cornerstone Handsome Squidward (24.8 PPG, 4.8 RPG) in a battle with major conference implications.
Today’s slate follows an electric night of BBL action in which the Texas Edgers defeated the Brooklyn Bomboclaats 122-102 behind Duke Dennis’s 37 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists.
“Playing at The Jawline Pavilion requires 48 minutes of defensive communication,” Coach Big Mike told reporters at morning shootaround. “Handsome Squidward can take over a game in a three-minute stretch, so our transition defense and rebounding have to be airtight from the opening tip.”
"We love defending our home court at The Jawline Pavilion. Fanum and New York Taxers bring elite firepower, and our locker room is ready for the challenge."
"Road games in this building always have a playoff atmosphere. We’re locked in on executing our gameplan for all four quarters."
