Film Room: How Handsome Squidward’s 31-Point Masterclass Unlocked Toronto Mewers’ 120-109 Victory Over New York
Breaking down the half-court spacing, pick-and-roll reads, and fourth-quarter execution from Toronto Mewers’ win over New York Taxers.
TORONTO — Reviewing the tape from Toronto Mewers’ 120-109 triumph over the New York Taxers reveals a clinic in modern offensive spacing. Operating out of high ball screens, Handsome Squidward recorded 31 points and 3 assists while utilizing his signature "Sculpted Elevation Pull-Up Jumper" to punish every defensive coverage New York deployed.
Whenever New York Taxers sent a second defender above the three-point line, Handsome Squidward calmly hit Jawline Jack (23 PTS, 7 REB) in the short roll to create immediate four-on-three advantages. Even with Fanum answering for New York with 28 points, Toronto Mewers’ shot quality in the final six minutes proved decisive.
Looking ahead to today’s 2026-27 Regular Season slate (2027-02-17), attention shifts to Silicon Valley Disrupters visiting Brooklyn Bomboclaats at Flatbush Trench Garden (7:00 PM EST, BBL TV / ABC), where Verity and Matteo the Hand Gesture Sniper headline the marquee matchup.
"Handsome Squidward read every tag defender on the floor tonight. Scoring 31 points with 3 assists against New York Taxers is textbook point-of-attack execution."
